This past February, more than 130 APIN members gathered to view and discuss one part of the PBS series Inside the Teenage Brain. The video featured a number of neuroscientists who have studied the maturation of the teenage brain. Research has shown that during times of adolescence, important brain growth and change continues beyond the early stages of life. This is the period in time in which impor¬tant neural pathways are becoming organized. The teenage brain is in constant flux, sending constant spurts and creating important connections for appropriate brain development.
