Network Activities
To keep service providers informed about existing services and resources for pregnant and parenting adolescents, APIN coordinates monthly presentations and publishes a network newsletter. There is no fee to attend the presentations or receive the newsletter. APIN also hosts an annual full-day conference for service providers in the spring for which there is a registration fee, and an annual half-day workshop for pregnant and/or parenting adolescents in the fall.
Monthly presentations
APIN presentations are held over the lunch hour on certain months of the year as indicated in our calendar of events. The length of the presentations vary from two-hour issue-related topics to one-hour presentations including Q&A from a community or government program to describe what services are offered, how to refer, who to contact and such. Lunch is provided at some events while others are brown bag.

Newsletter
APIN Network News provides details on upcoming topics and summaries of the most recent presentations and is now being distributed by mail and email. To add your name to one or both of our distribution lists, please send an email to info@apin.org.

Conference
APIN hosts a full day conference in Winnipeg (typically each spring) with presentations for service providers and information booths from a wide variety of programs and organizations related to pregnant and parenting teens.
The conference for service providers is the only APIN event for which there is a registration fee. To keep it affordable, this fee is underwritten in part by APIN through funding from Healthy Child Manitoba.
APIN also hosts an Adolescent Parents’ Day, with hands-on learning activities tailored specifically for young parents and their babies. This workshop is provided at no charge to pregnant and/or parenting adolescents and the service providers who accompany them.
